Art Fag, the label that brought us a great four-way split earlier this year, was the home of the first 7" from Best Coast aka Bethany Cosentino. For this next pair of tracks, produced by Fool's Gold's Lewis Pesacov, she's taken musical partner Bobb Bruno and flipped over to Lewis's Black Iris imprint. The 7" features "When I'm With You" b/w "This Is Real," both of which fit nicely in the rising tide of beachy noise-pop coming from the West Coast: playfully fuzzed and pleasantly reverbed, heartbeat drums, girl group harmonies, and a fixation on California pop you don't need to skim her press materials to finger.Breeeezzzyyyyyy.
